Finnish Aviation strike may cause delays in airfreight and ports

The Finnish Aviation Union (IAU) has issued a warning of industrial action which is expected to start on 15 November 2013 and continue for one week. If the strike starts it will affect belly cargo movement on several airlines. Cancellations are also expected on selected Finnair Asian routes.Please contact Varova airfreight for further information.

Not all issues are resolved in the Finnish aviation negotiations. The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union has declared supporting industrial action to all Finnish ports starting 19 November 2013. It is possible that there will be stoppages in cargo handling at all ports in Finland.
