A journey based on trust

In 1986, Mr. Kelvin Lee, Managing Director of the Ensign Group started operating a small business initially employing 6 people. Over the past 30 years, Ensign has become a leading freight forwarding company with 17 offices across Asia and has an international network covering over 50 countries.

Talking about Ensign’s story in the past decades, Varova is one of the core lines that we cannot miss out in our journey. Everything between Ensign and Varova dates back to the moment when Mr. Kelvin Lee met Varova’s vice president Mr. Kaj Söderström in the late 1980’s.

Kelvin was introduced to Kaj through one of Ensign’s partners at that time. Since then, Ensign and Varova have grown together with synergy and started a glorious journey. Airfreight and ocean freight are core businesses for both companies. Ensign has successfully built a sustainable and strong service brand in sea freight from China/Hong Kong to Finland, as well as earned a prime reputation of qualitative air freight service to Finland.

Ensign is also grateful to have one of the colleagues, Mr. Mikko Savolainen from Finland, who works in our Shanghai office. Mikko’s Finnish background has brought Ensign and Varova’s relationship even closer, meanwhile bridging the West and East, which gives rise to further opportunities for us.

Maintaining a sound relationship and mutual development is by no means easy to anyone. However, Ensign’s faith in Varova and the trust among both of us will never be weakened. This is what makes us successful today and to create prosperous years together in future!

We end by quoting Henry Ford “Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, and working together is success.”
