Around Christmas and the New Year, there will be less traffic between Finland and Europe than usual, and longer transport times are possible for both imports and exports.

Shipments from Europe to Finland
In week 51, most import shipments from Europe depart according to usual schedules. These will arrive in Finland after Christmas.
Import shipments arriving in Finland during the Christmas week will be distributed from Wednesday, 27 December onwards on regular working days. However, some delays may occur due to the congestion caused by the holidays and some of the deliveries may be postponed to week 1.
Orders from Turkey should be ready for departure in the first week of December 49 to arrive in Finland before Christmas.
Shipments from Finland to Europe
Export departures before Christmas are for the most part as usual until Christmas. For export shipments from Finland, there are fewer departures on week 52 and week 1.
Independence Day in Finland 6 December
Wednesday, 6 December is a public holiday in Finland and offices and terminals are closed. Some delays may occur in cargo handling at terminals due to the midweek holiday.
