Mikko Vihanto Appointed to the Board of the Finland–China Business Association

Mikko Vihanto, CEO of Varova, has been elected to the Board of the Finland–China Business Association at the Association’s Annual General Meeting in spring 2026.

The Finland–China Business Association, which was founded in 1985, serves as an important channel for connections in trade and economic cooperation between Finland and China. The Association provides a wide range of information on the Chinese market as well as developments in legislation related to trade and economic cooperation.

The Association’s events feature high-level experts who offer timely insights into China’s economy, market situation, and development trends. At the same time, these events provide an excellent opportunity for networking, building new contacts, exchanging experiences, and strengthening China-related expertise. In trade with China, personal relationships and networks (guanxi 关系) play a central role.

The Association currently has more than 100 member companies, representing a wide range of industries from SMEs to large international corporations.

In China, the Association’s key partner is the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and it maintains close relationships with the Embassy of China and its commercial section.

The Finland-China Business Association provides a valuable platform for learning from companies already operating in China and for building one’s own network, particularly for companies looking to enter the Chinese market.

The Association offers an excellent opportunity for Varova to get to know companies and networks engaged in Finland–China trade even better in a market that is important to us. Through the Association, we hope to strengthen our existing partnerships and create new contacts. At the same time, being a member of the Board provides an opportunity to share perspectives from freight forwarding and logistics, as well as to learn more about operations across different industries,” says Mikko.
