The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union AKT has announced that it will extend the ongoing political strikes until the end of March 2024.
Work is scheduled to resume on 1 April 2024.

The main part of container transports is still at a standstill, and neither containers nor LCL will not be handled in Finnish ports until the strike ends. Easter will also affect shipments so that the last pick-up date for export shipments is Wednesday 27.3.2024. However, cargo will move from Finland from 1 April at the earliest.
After the end of the strike and the Easter holidays, there will be congestion especially in import transports. Delivery times are longer than normal.
