German road toll will increase as of 1 December 2023.
The German Road Toll (MAUT) was launched in 2005. Its purpose is to make road freight transport more sustainable by reducing emissions. In addition to this, the goal is to fund the expansion and maintenance of the federal road network based on actual usage.
Both German and foreign hauliers are obliged to pay the road toll. In addition to transport in Germany, MAUT is levied on trucks that transit Germany.
Your sales contact persons at Varova will provide additional information if necessary. The new road toll tables will be available to our customers on 1.12.2023.
