A week of protests affecting traffic throughout Germany. Railway workers have announced a freight strike from Tuesday to Friday 9-12.1.2024. In addition, farmers are protest against government measures with tractor marches and traffic blockades that slow down traffic on many highways and motorways.
Delays to transport are expected in German export and import traffic. Freight from Western and Southern Europe that are routed via Germany may also be delayed.
