Strikes to stop operations at Finland’s ports for two weeks

The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK) has announced new industrial action. The political strikes against the government’s actions are scheduled to start on Monday, 11 March 2024 and can last as long as two weeks. The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union (AKT) is involved in strikes which will bring operations at Finnish ports to a halt.

If implemented, the strikes will have a significant impact on international transports to and from Finland.

We are in the process of finding out the impact of the strike on transports and investigate alternative delivery methods. We follow the situation closely and inform our customers and partners as soon as we have further information.
