Typhoon Chanthu affects freight transports in the east coast of China

Typhoon Chanthu hit the east coast of China on Monday. The storm has caused strong winds and heavy rains that result in delays to freight transportation.

Ocean freight may experience schedule changes in cargo traffic to and from Shanghai and Ningbo, as well as possibly other ports on the east coast of China.

The typhoon also delays rail transports from China. For rail transport scheduled to depart this week (week 37) where part of the journey is by sea, a delay of at least one week is expected.

Your ocean and rail freight contact persons at Varova will give further details if needed.
