Wintry weather slows down road transport in Europe

Many areas in Central Europe are currently experiencing heavy snowfall, wind and frost.

In the Netherlands, the collection and delivery of consignments was momentarily stopped due to heavy snowfall on Monday 8 February. Winter conditions also slow down transportation in several areas of Germany, which affects both German import and export transports, as well as traffic passing through Germany to Finland, such as Italian transports.

There may consequently be delays in the schedules of export shipments that left Finland last week, and to import shipments from Europe this week.
