The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK) stated in its board meeting on Thursday 4 April 2024 that the trade unions will stop the ongoing political industrial action next Monday April 82024. The SAK Board of Directors will further assess the situation at its meeting on 18 April 2024.
The stevedores are set to return to work on 8 April 2024 at 6.45 a.m. and will start handling ships and transport units in ports. Due to the backlog caused by the strike, it is currently impossible to provide more detailed information on delivery schedules. We hope that the backlog can be cleared as quickly as possible.
We will provide more information about delivery schedules when we receive further details from shipping companies and port operators.
